1960's Opal Ring, Marquise Opals with lots of fire
A fantastic example of the 1960's Dress Ring / Cocktail Ring fashions. If you have ever seen the TV Series "Mad Men" you know what we are talking about. This 1960's Opal Dress Ring has Eleven claw set Marquise Opal Cabachons with Orange, Green, Blue play of colours...lots of fire.
Opals are notoriously difficult to photograph so we were unable to edit the exposure or we would further fade the Opals. They are much nicer in person.
This Opal ring has a narrow Bamboo patterned bar link shank with an open back. Gucci started the Bamboo trend in the 60's and still today are using the pattern in handbags and jewellery. This would have been the inspiration for the band pattern.
